The Brand ProcesS

The road to success starts with a good brief...

1 /

First I take some basic information from you via my briefing form or over the phone. I’ll ask questions like:

  • What is it you do?
  • Why do you need me?
  • Who will the work be targeted towards? What do they currently know or think about you/your business? What do you want them to do or think?
  • Is this a one-off piece of work, a campaign strategy, or do you need an ongoing strategy?
  • Will any other comms/marketing activities complement the messaging?

Scoping and ProposaL

Based on what you’ve told me you need plus my own knowledge of how to best achieve your goals and objectives, I’ll scope up your job. I’ll send you a quotation outlining a proposed solution and timeframes with comprehensive pricing.

We go over the project proposal to make sure all you’ve asked for has been included and that we are on the same page in terms of expectations.

Booking IN

I schedule a few weeks in advance; however, I can often squeeze in small jobs here and there, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call at short notice.  Once my deposit invoice is paid, you are booked in.

Before I start work on your job, I gain an understanding of your business from the target market’s point of view and ensure I’m familiar with your customers/stakeholders and your industry. I can do this research from my desktop, but if you’re not too far away, it’s often good to meet to make sure I have a complete understanding of your challenges and what you're trying to achieve.

You'll need to set aside time for you and your colleagues to review and sign off.
If it’s a small job, it’s best to try to wrap things up within two to three weeks.

You will receive a first draft, second draft and final draft of your Strategy. This gives you two chances to get things just right. Additional rounds will be charged at an hourly rate and if the brief changes part way through, I’ll give you a variation.
